"Volunteers Take the Time to Make a Difference"

 

Volunteers dedicate their time and talents throughout the year.

January - Begin the New Year bringing cheer to our residents with your smile and warm heart. Keep a travel log while vacationing in a different country to share food, facts, music, etc. offer a resident "The Pleasure of Your Company!"

February - Help make Valentine's Day special with decorations, menu selections, etc. for the evening Sweetheart Ball. There are also opportunities to assist with theme meal activities.

March - Ready. Set. GROW! Help plant seeds for spring gardening. Teach residents how to surf the Internet. Bring in home season donations.

April - Spring clean your house and donate bingo prizes. Help residents spring clean their closets. Pastoral visits are always welcome.

May - Join the fun and make the Ladies' Day Tea a special event. Help with the Auxiliary card party and silent auction.

June - Guys, help with Men's Night! Lead talks about sports. Sign-up to be a resident escort for events or shopping in the community.

July - Bring your tiny tot to our monthly play group. Registration required.

August - Accompany a resident to the State Fair. Host a fall sports night: tape a game, bring it in to view, and follow with a discussion-we'll provide the snacks.

September - Help us celebrate Grandparents' Day. Consider working in our Gift Shop. Assist a crafts group. Escort discharged patients to their vehicles.

October - Help with our haunted house; your heartfelt presence will be quite a treat. Lend a hand for Auxiliary projects. Lead a Card Club for residents.

November - 'Tis the season to give thanks. Help our annual Giving Tree grow by wrapping and labelling gifts. All hands and hearts are greatly appreciated. Join the Auxiliary's Lights of Joy celebration.

December - Fulfill a childhood dream and become one of Santa's helpers. Distribute holiday gifts to our residents and patients. Whiskers and beards provided!
