Who are volunteers?

Minimum age - 12 yrs (junior until 17)
Men, women, children, families, groups

What do they do?

Bring the gift of heart into the lives of folks who are challenged by health and aging issues. These gifts are wrapped in the services of wheelchair transport, greeting newly admitted patients and residents, assisting on discharge day, visits, activity leadership, home sewing, pastoral care, gift shop sales, and clerical support for the programs and services available to our residents. These gifts are tied with compassion, love, caring, dignity, generosity, and hope. Check out our specific volunteer opportunities available.

How much of a time commitment is necessary?

1 hour a week, 2 hours a month, 12 hours a year, or whatever amount of time you have to give. There is no way to measure the value of the time your give to help a person along the aging highway.

How Does St. Camillus recognize its volunteers? Annual recognition event; leadership award reception; greeting cards throughout the year and especially at birthday time; discounts on the hearing aids and services from the Audiology Department; access on-site to therapy services as prescribed by a physician; physician referred nutrition consultation.
