2008 St. Camillus Soiree - A Celebration of Excellence

Friends and supporters gathered on June 5 at Bellevue Country Club for our third annual Celebration of Excellence in health care services provided by St. Camillus. In addition to the fine hors d’ouvres and beverages presented by the Bellevue chef and staff, guests enjoyed shrimp donated by Sysco, ice cream sundaes donated by Byrne Dairy, and wine from Glenora Wine Cellars.

Music by the John Spillett Jazz Duo with Rick Montalbano entertained the crowd throughout the evening with a great selection of music for the occasion.

The formal program opened with songs by local performers, Joey Nigro-Nilsen and John Nilsen, including the inspirational song “Gift of Moments,” written in honor of Joey’s sister Michele and niece Jessica.

Master of Ceremonies, Dan Cummings, of WSTM NewsChannel 9 invited St. Camillus’ Resident Council President, Angela Scaffido, to say a few words of welcome.

Signs overhead recognized the many area businesses, and others, who sponsored the St. Camillus Soiree.

Guests bid on Silent Auction items donated by artist Hans Junga, Syracuse Stage, Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, Regal Cinemas, Springside Inn, John Maestri, David Walsh, Rinaldo Amusement Games, Next Generation Food & Vending, Marilyn Wurzburger, Stickley, Audi & Co., Belhurst Castle, Mid-Lakes Navigation and AAA.

Memorial Tribute to John J. Clancy. On April 30, 2008, the Trustees of St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center adopted a Testimonial Resolution recognizing the time, talent and energy to the well-being of St. Camillus and to the community at large. A framed copy of the Resolution was presented by Foundation Board Chair, Jim Murphy, and Health and Rehabilitation Center Board Chair, Patricia Curtin, to Mr. Clancy’s daughters, Susan Clancy-Magley and Mary Kay Clancy.
