When it comes to outpatient rehabilitation, St. Camillus has all the bases covered.

Our highly-tailored services and dedicated staff focus on the individual and their recovery goals. Whether overcoming an illness or injury, we specialize in providing effective therapies and treatments to help both adults and children get well and live better. And since we offer a full range of outpatient services under one roof, access to services is simple. St. Camillus can conveniently schedule therapy sessions and visits - even if more than one type of therapy is ordered - saving both the patient and physician valuable time and energy.

Physical therapy
St. Camillus physical therapists help individuals work towards pain free, safe and functional movement. A variety of treatments, incorporating the latest techniques and equipment, are utilized to increase motion, endurance and strength. Therapies are tailored to individual needs and conducted in comfortable, spacious treatment areas.

  • Are you at risk for falling? Concerned about a loved one who may be at risk? We offer outpatient falls-risk assessments for non-homebound individuals and can put a plan in place to help if necessary. Occupational therapy
Occupational therapists assist in developing skills that allow individuals to lead independent, productive and satisfying lives. Treatments typically address muscle strength, range of motion, and cognitive and visual/perceptual skills in order to enhance everyday activities such as dressing, feeding and personal care.

Speech/language therapy
St. Camillus speech/language therapists specialize in the early identification, treatment and management of communication problems, swallowing/feeding disorders and cognitive-linguistic skills

Adult Day Health Program

The St. Camillus Adult Day Health Program is medically-based and provides a full range of medical, therapeutic, social/recreational and support services for individuals 16 years of age and older. The program is a compassionate alternative to isolation, an affordable option to institutionalization and serves as a respite for both the individual and his or her family. Both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care patients can be served.

Adult Day Health takes place in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Many of our registrants find it a haven where social interaction and friendship are the rule rather than the exception. Learn more about our Day Health Program.

Audiology/Hearing Aids

St. Camillus operates a fully-equipped audiology department licensed by The State of New York to dispense, fit and service hearing aids for both adults and children. We offer a complete battery of tests designed to evaluate a wide range of hearing loss as well as hearing aids. Our modern testing facility features a large, wheelchair-accessible, sound-proof testing booth and is staffed by an experienced audiologist serving St. Camillus inpatients, outpatients and other individuals by physician referral. Brain Injury Rehabilitation

We work closely with brain injury outpatients and their family to design a program focused on establishing and maintaining an independent lifestyle at home, at work and in the community. Nursing Services

St. Camillus offers a wide range of nursing services in conjunction with other therapies or for specific conditions. Services include dressing changes, blood draws/lab work, IM/IV medications and monitoring various medical conditions.

Psychological Services

Psychological assessment and treatment is available at St. Camillus in conjunction with other therapies or for specific diagnoses. Treatment by the staff neuropsychologist typically entails formulating behavior management programs and other interventions for issues of behavior or emotional adjustment.

Social Services

Outpatients are offered the added convenience of easy access to St. Camillus social workers in conjunction with other therapies or for specific issues. Social workers are available for referrals, education, advocacy, therapeutic interventions and insurance coverage issues.

Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling

Vocational rehabilitation counselors help injured or disabled individuals develop a constructive plan for returning to their lives at work and in the community. Specific services available include job analysis, employer contact and education, job modification, vocational assessments, career exploration, job placement assistance and vocational planning.
