Mission

The mission of the St. Camillus Auxiliary, an integral part of the St. Camillus Foundation, is to enhance the quality of life of St. Camillus residents and patients. The Auxiliary also strives to assist both the facility and the Foundation in fundraising, service projects, and other activities undertaken to improve the facility, services, care and programs available to patients and the community.

The St. Camillus Auxiliary was organized in 1992 as a part of the St. Camillus Foundation. It is a membership organization which assists St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center in providing high quality health and rehabilitation services focusing on improving the quality of life of residents. Members of the Auxiliary are involved in two major types of activities – developing and managing service programs of benefit to residents and fundraising, which provides additional or new equipment, adaptation of space/equipment to better meet the needs of the residents, and improvement of common areas such as the courtyards and lobby.

With its membership dues and other funds raised, the Auxiliary sponsors many services and programs which directly benefit the residents and patients. St. Camillus. These include:

Service Programs

The Resident Welcome Program
This program provides new patients and residents with a "gift" packet
of small useful items, which they may need during their stay.

The Gift Shop
The Gift Shop is operated by the Auxiliary and sells many useful items
for the convenience of patients, residents, staff and families. Greeting cards, candy,
small stuffed animals and other small gift items.

The Christmas Shoppe
The Christmas Shoppe is open one day during the holiday season and offers an on-site shopping opportunity for patients, residents and staff to purchase donated items at low cost. This year's Holiday Shoppe will be held on December 15 from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

The Special Needs Program
This program provides funds requested by various departments of the facility to purchase additional equipment and improve common areas for all residents to enjoy.

Fundraising

The Lights of Joy Campaign
Through the Lights of Joy Campaign, donations are given to the Auxiliary in honor or memory of a loved one, as a get-well wish, thank you or to recognize an anniversary, birthday or a holiday. Contributions are accepted from October through mid January.

On-going Events

The Auxiliary sponsors a memorial brick program. Personalized bricks are purchased and placed in the recently renovated courtyards. For $50 a brick, a personalized memorage may be made in honor or memory of a loved one or family member.
