Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group at St. Camillus

Are you struggling with how to cope with a loved one who has memory loss and confusion? Want to gain some ideas on how to make visits more successful? Looking to learn more about your loved one’s disease and how you can best help him or her? Then please join our FREE Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group.

The group meets on the third Tuesday of each month from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the Adult Day Health Program room, Bldg. 2, at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center, 813 Fay Rd., Syracuse.

Upcoming 2008 support group dates:

  • January 15, 2008
  • February 19, 2008

The meetings are designed to help unpaid family caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia. The group offers caregivers help with daily issues they face by addressing the specific interests and needs of participants. The meetings are co-sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Assoc. of CNY.

The St. Camillus Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required. For more information, please contact Ellen Somers, St. Camillus Alzheimer’s services coordinator, at 315-703-0676.
